Don’t Vote Conservative VI: Democracy? What democracy?

(Thanks to vanitas for the article)

This is a point I’ve seen brought up last election, and it still rings true: Stephen Harper does not want you to vote. But what else do you expect from someone who has Parliament suspended just so he doesn’t have to face an inconvenient confidence vote and a possible loss of government?
Don’t vote Conservative, unless you really do hate democracy.

I hate the cowardice of the NDP and Liberals–all bluff and no action. Surely proroguing parliament is a reason for the government to fall. They let the former Conservative Reform Alliance Party sit until people were used to them, while the stealth campaign against open government and citizens’ rights goes on.

I’m putting you into my blogroll.
